I'm bidding adieu to my old website provider today. Unfortunately, I might lose my subscribers in the process. I guess I'll have to figure out how to fix that.
The Greenwich Craft Fair was pretty interesting. The Clay College had a good display area with pottery demonstrations, jewelry and pottery for sale.
As you can see from the photograph, my poor little teapot deflated in the kiln. Whether it was due to the temperature in the kiln, a problem with the batch of clay or an architectural issue is unknown and frankly irrelevant. The teapot is now toast. The teapot was joined in kiln failure by a host of small bowls that suffered from clay bubbling anomalies and generally disappointing and unexpectedly darkened glaze issues. |
